Detailed design

Our detailed designs will give you a blueprint to work from. On top of the consultation, to determine your needs and opportunities, we’ll survey the site. Once we have your feedback on the concept, we’ll produce a detailed to-scale design to fit your budget. This includes species, dimensions, and materials, plus implementation and maintenance guidance. The documentation will explain how the design works: for your education and for future owners.

Given due consideration in the design will be

  • how to make use of on-site and nearby resources
  • what will grow well and suit your preferences & lifestyle
  • how to improve the soil and harvest rainwater
  • mitigation of site specific issues and risks
  • integration of technologies to boost productivity
  • ways of reducing ongoing costs and effort

Since the size and complexity of the site and existing vegetation influences the survey and design timeframe, prices are staggered by the size of your space. This is a guide only, since you may have a large area but only want part of it designed for.

Small backyard or townhouse: $800 Inc. GST

Typical suburban backyard (e.g. 600-800 sq m lot with detached house): $1200 Inc. GST

Large suburban or rural lot, urban farm, community garden from scratch, etc: $1800 Inc. GST
